Cold Reading
I know that a lot of you have contacted me and asked me about cold reading. For those of you who don’t know what cold reading is, I will provide for you a simple definition I found:
“Cold reading is a series of techniques used by mentalists, fortune tellers, psychics, and mediums to determine details about another person in order to convince them that the reader knows much more about a subject than they actually do.” – Wikipedia.org’s article “Cold reading“
What these phonies do is tell you very general answers that applies to almost anyone, trying to gain your trust and confidence. A lot of famous psychics and mediums have been accused of using this technique. Why do they do this? Money. You slap them a $10 or $20 bill and they will tell you what you want to hear, nothing too specific. How can you spot out a cold reader? Let me give you an example:
Cold Reader: “I see a guy, he meant a lot to you, and he passed away recently. He suffered very much, it was a painful death.”
Actual Psychic: “I’m getting a John, he was something of an artist. He died in his sleep.”
Do you see the difference between a cold reader and an actual psychic now? Actual psychics are more specific and can gather more information than cold readers. In fact, the Comedy Central television show South Park is known to have a whole episode on mediums and cold reading. Below is a video clip from that episode:
The video is of poor quality, but you can make it through. Many people unload lots of money to psychics and mediums asking to predict their future or contact their deceased relatives. However, I would like to share one piece of advice to you:
Your deceased friends and family who love you are watching over you as you are reading this article. Recent research has shown that they give us signs every day to let us know that they are there. To view some of these signs, check out our article, “Signs From Spirits“. Don’t spend your hard-earned money on something that you don’t necessarily need. There is plenty of information on this website as well as many others that can help you find your spiritual growth and identity. Some psychics and mediums are real, and some aren’t. Do your research before you consider to talk to one of these individuals, including their reputation, reliability, and history, because who knows, you may be talking to a phony.

I lost my cat more than 2 weeks not, I have done everything, flyers, neighbors, findtoto web, reward $100, etc. In desperation, I have seek the cat psychics, Hilary Renaissance & Susan Vaughn. Both are “cold readers”, though they are well advertized and featured in magazines, which is over rated, they are nothing but blood sucking cold readers. Please warn the media. I have confornted them, Hilary Renaissance refunded my money, Susan Vaughn choose to ignore me and kept my money which she did not deserve.
Cold reading has always shocked everyone. And what’s not to be amazed about? Even if the person can’t genuinely read your brain as he would read words in a book, there’s still something undeniably remarkable about a individual who can read you immediately.
I’ve had experiences and try to find the answers, ever since I can remember infact. The latter of them is a blue orb changing shape while taking photo’s with my 2 yr old and her father it changed shape and slowly raised from the bottom of the screen to about his hip standing up. We turned lights and tv off, on moved and out of about 20 in the same area 3/4 in a row showed up. It wasn’t circular like most shots, couldn’t be any relection… My 14 yr old step-daughter saw it in the bathroom without knowing anything about the pics as she visits on the weekends. Finally a small storage drawer slammed to the ground out of the top of my bedroom closet, this was with my boyfriend only sleeping in there, the orb was also on him in the pic. Ive heard and experienced other things here too. In the past2-3 yrs i’ve been choked and the last time i said in my head im not scared of you and the experience felt so real and lasted so long i couldnt mistake it for absolutely anything. The first time it didnt last as long but was just as scary and finally ended when I barely pushed a prayer to Jesus out. The second time what ever it was wanted to make sure I knew it was there and what it was doing and didn’t stop til I was the most frightened I believe I ever been. Im worried it will happen again. I ve seen a shadow stand by my bed inbetween the two experiences and was scared of it, but at about the same time with in days, id say A bright flash of light in my room woke me and it was upstairs facing the side of a building without any windows, my 4 yr old ended up in the hospital and almost didnt make it. so, while I can’t put all this togehter im convinced they cant be the same. Are my children safe, what can/should I do?
