Cloning
With recent breakthroughs in genetic engineering, now more than ever we are beginning to see the possibility of cloning human beings. This concept has been a staple of science fiction tales such as Blade Runner and Star Wars. The idea is that we would create human replicants identical to us in every way. This would become an enormous issue as to whether or not these cloned humans are truly human or just copies. I can just see this becoming another civil rights movement for cloned people. In my opinion this is the most dangerous thing we could do. A violent war could break out and chaos would erupt. I think it is best that we do not play God and stay clear of cloning. It is bad enough that we have cloned animals which has received backlash from animal rights organizations. We as humans were not meant to create copies of ourselves and use these clones for our own curiosity.
