Child of Jesus

I think it’s safe to assume that after watching the film or reading the book, The DaVinci Code, Catholics began to question their religion even more than they already were. What if Jesus did have a child? If he did, what happened to the child? Who was the mother? Is he still the Messiah even though he had a child?

Well, let’s look at it in depth. Jesus proclaimed himself to be the son of God and he was murdered because of this. The belief is that he died for all of humanity’s sins. If he did have a child, does this take away from the whole Messiah aspect? I wouldn’t say so. If the supreme being sent us a savior, I think it would be safe to say that person would be subjected to normal human emotions such as lust, greed, and/or anger.

Here is where the problem arises. Jesus may still be the Messiah, but if he had a child, this does cause some complications amongst the Christian faith. The first leader of the church was St. Peter, who was appointed by Jesus. After Peter, the line of Popes began. Now, if Jesus did have a child, that means that the child is the true leader of the Christian religion. The Pope has no authority whatsoever.

Throughout the history of the church, we have seen very anti-woman messages, and acts. The church even authorized a killing spree of women. Think they know something we don’t know?

No, I don’t. The Da Vinci code was a piece of poorly written blasphemy and completely baseless. You have proven again you know little of the Catholic faith.

You have no idea waht you are talking about. I was raised catholic and have read the bible. Don’t assume you know anything about my knowledge of the catholic church.

I have researched this and The DaVinci Code has some fact to it, if not all of it.

I call bull. You’re a fool and liar. The Da Vinci code is absolutely baseless and has no fact to it. Burden of proof falls on you to tell me otherwise. I want citations from your so-called research.

How about the fact that the church authorized the slaughter of the descendents of the Knights Templar? There has never been an explanation of why they did this.

The church also authorized the slaughter of hundreds of women. Hmm, I wonder why that can be?
