Terrorism has been a terrible fact of life for many years. It was brought home to millions on the morning of September 11. But why is it that these people want to use terrorism as a way to get their particular ideology across? Well the main answer could be because of their religion. The majority of terrorists in today’s world are of the Islamic faith. They take the Quran literally and believe that they are engaged in a cosmic battle between the forces of Christianity and Islam. These terrorists take the word “jihad” to mean that they must do anything they can for their God known as Allah. This includes the bombing of innocent people, plane hijackings, and killing people who are not Muslims.

Kevin DuBrow was the lead singer of one of the biggest glam metal bands of the 1980s, Quiet Riot. His voice was the distinctive feature that brought the band to world-wide fame. His recent death of a drug overdose in 2007 sent shock-waves through millions of listeners. Throughout the years, many famous stars have lost there lives to the rock and roll lifestyle. It may seem as no shock that DuBrow was one of them due to drug use throughout his career.
DuBrow, from an early age, showed signs of being a promising star. When he was 11, he started his few band which consisted of a few friends playing in a garage. During his teenage years, he became a fan of British heavy metal music. This set him on the course of becoming a part of the developing rock scene. He formed the band Quiet Riot, which originally consisted of future Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Randy Rhoads, who would also suffer a tragic death.
The band went on to have a huge amount of success. Mainly due to their 1983 album Metal Health. This album is considered by many to be the birth of the glam metal genre. With incredibly fast guitar solos and DuBrows high-pitched voice, the band became one of the biggest bands of the rock genre. Sadly, every follow-up album failed to have the impact of Metal Health.
Throughout the later part of his life, DuBrow built his own studio and became a DJ at a local radio station. On November 25 of 2007, DuBrow was found dead in his Las Vegas home. His body was found six days after he had died. The death was said to be the cause of a cocaine overdose. A Rabbi presided over his funeral and this great rocker was buried in California.

Many rock-stars have become so admired in the wild lifestyle of being a musician that they subject to drugs, and alcohol. Some famous musicians who have not even touched any illegal narcotics or even alcohol have still died in part because of their fame. Many believe there is a curse put on rock and roll music due to the amount of people who have died. Humans have always believed that there must be a higher power that controls the universe. Many religions around the world recognize this supreme power as a figure known as God, Allah, Yahweh, and many other names. But is this God a merciful being? Does he show remorse? Does he care about us? If you believe that God had a place in human history than you have to agree he might not have been such a nice guy. Millions of people all over the earth were killed due to God’s supposed advice.
The Jewish Old Testament is filled with stories of God constantly letting his people endure torture and killing thousands of random groups of people. Now one could just say that these are just stories and the real God is not a mean being. Well, if you are to believe that God is truly there and runs the universe, than you must agree that he can do whatever he wants. So it is very likely that even though this being created us, he can sometimes choose to destroy people as he has supposedly done so many times throughout our history.

Hezbollah is one of Lebanon’s largest parties. It is viewed by many countries around the world as a terrorist organization. It possesses military, cultural, religious, social and political leverage in the country of Lebanon. It has a very well trained armed force who has been responsible for combat with Israel over the years. During the last war with Israel in the summer of 2006, not only did Hezzbollah come out of the conflict undefeated, but they fought back fiercely and caused tremendous casualties on the Israeli side. Hezbollah is present through a number of non-government organizations that provide health, educational, housing, and technical services for reconstruction, a television and a radio station. In essence, they pretty much control much of the country they are present in, Lebanon.
Even though Islamic religious people that command the party, they are not of a high rank. Hezbollah enjoys the support of a large number of prominent Shiite memebers, most notably the religious leader of the Shiite community. Since the last elections in Lebanon, it has become a major political player on the local scene. After 2000, Hezbollah enjoyed the command of the Shiite political representation through a very uneven alliance with the weak Beirut government.
Furthermore, it has become the main resistance movement against the state of Israel. Hezbollah enjoys a strong Lebanese Shiite backing. A very large majority of Lebanese Shiites today support Hezbollah and any attack against it would be interpreted as an attack against the Shiite community. So in essence, the government in Beirut is trapped and virtually holds no power in their own country! This organization has an alliance with the Iran and Syria.
