Capital High School

Located in Charleston, West Virginia, Capital High School has its ties with the supernatural. To be more specific, the theatre of the school has been shrouded in mystery for many years.

Students and faculty members who work on theatrical productions at the theatre have said to experience the feeling and sighting of an unknown entity, especially while working late at night. Some have even claimed to hear footsteps walking from the stage to the workshop. The most common form of paranormal experience at the theatre however is the lights. They are often either turned off or dimmed on its own.

Usually for a haunting, there is an old story to go along with the reasoning for it, but this is not the case here at Capital High School. No one can give any sort of explanation for the events or information of the spirit who could be responsible, but the students and faculty don’t seem to mind this unexpected guest.

I go to Capital High and I am also in the theatre program. I know the story. The theatre is haunted by a boy we call Tom. He was supposedly in the theatre program when he died in a horrible car accident in downtown Charleston. He wouldn’t harm anyone. He turns off lights and soflty bangs against the walls of the production booth during a show. If fact, for Halloween, we turned off all the lights in the theatre and sat in candle light on stage to tell scary stories. When we told Tom’s story, three of the candles went out.
