Canyon Hill Cemetery

December 23rd, 2008

Canyon Hill Cemetery is located in Caldwell, Idaho and is a site of many hauntings and legends. As soon as you walk through its gates, you will feel fear over every inch of your body. There have been reports of the ghost of an older woman who is seen sitting on one of the benches. Upon turning way and then looking back, she vanishes. There is also the ghost of a female jogger who is seen on the road behind the cemetery, yet this ghost is running without any legs.

Car windows have been reported to move up and down on their own. The cemetery opened in the early 1800s and the people who are buried there have sad stories, mostly involving murder or suicide. There was even a woman and her five children who were all killed when they were driving in a car and crashed off the road into the water. There is a serious temperature drop upon walking into the cemetery no matter what the weather is like outside. People report the sense of being watched in the shadows, photographs taken show orbs and white mists, and sometimes even ghostly figures.

I’ve always felt peace every time I’ve gone to that cemetery. It’s not an evil place. There are a lot of very good people buried there and there has never been any crazy door slamming or windows moving that I have ever seen. Yes I do believe in ghosts but no I don’t believe in this. It’s a good place, not to say that no crazy people have ever been buried there because that’s very well possible but this post is in face false.
