They have been the inspiration to hundreds of musicians. They are known as one of the founders of the heavy metal genre. They have been inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame. Their catchy riffs and awkward personalities and antics have fascinated music-listeners for years. They are Black Sabbath.
People can easily see Ozzy Osbourne and think of him from his reality show and all his crazy dad stuff. Yet people do not remember the days when he was the front man for one of the greatest bands of our time. They have been subject to loads of controversy and praise. Many people during the 1970s thought of them as a “demonic” band due to their unconventional lyrics and dark appearances at concerts. Many times they were labeled as satanic and have had to refute these claims.
Whatever you consider them, whether it be dark, depressing, or satanic, you cannot deny that this band has been one of the biggest influences of the Rock genre to date. With millions of albums sold world-wide and sold out concerts, Black Sabbath is destined to go down in history as one of the best Heavy Metal acts of the music genre.
