There is no doubt that we all have a personal aura that is around us. These auras range in different colors and intensity which some people claim to see. Since the beginning of time, we humans have been trying to figure out how to capture these auras and interpret them since the colors and intensity indicate our thoughts, feelings, and even the health of us and of other beings. According to the literature of movements, each color of the aura has a precise meaning, indicating a precise emotional state. This can be related to religious interpretations such as the claim that good beings have halos around their heads.

Science has been quite unsuccessful and unwilling to agree and prove this magnificent phenomenon. The closest steps that there have been relating to auras would be proof that every living creature emits gasses, radiation, and energy. Occultist W.E. Butler classifies auras in two categories, etheric and spiritual. Author Robert Bruce classifies them in three categories, etheric, main, and spiritual.

These auras are not thought to be actual light but instead a translation of our unknown sensory readings that is added to our visual processing. It is also thought that auras are related to the etheric subtle body to serve a visual measure of the stage of health of the body. However, there are other skeptics such as Robert Todd Carroll who claim that auras may be seen as a result of migraines and synesthesia.
