Anakin Skywalker

Anakin Skywalker has become one of the most fascinating figures in all of Star Wars mythology. He is the prophesied child that was foretold to bring balance to the force. Through all of his trials and turmoils, he came through in the end and the galaxy was once again at peace. Only briefly seen in the original series, he is a major character in the recent prequel trilogy. His story is one of downfall and rising back up again.
Anakin was born to Shmi Skywalker on the planet Tatooine. He and his mother were sold into slavery under Watto. From an early age, Anakin was very handy and was able to fix almost anything. He also showed a natural knack for being a pilot. When he was around nine years old, Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn arrived on his planet looking for spare parts for Queen Amidala’s spaceship. It was at this point that Anakin met Padme. She was later revealed to be the Queen. Anakin formed a close bond with her that would eventually lead to love.
Anakin was freed from slavery and became a Jedi apprentice under the young Obi-Wan Kenobi. For the next decade, Anakin was trained in the ways of the force. He was a very astute student but was very ambitious. Later he and his master were assigned to guard the Queen from possible a possible attack. While Obi-WAn was sent to investigate who was trying to murder the queen, Anakin and Padme hid on the planet of Naboo and fell in love. Soon, the Republic went to war with Seperatist forces of the galaxy.
Anakin returned after rescuing the Chancellor. Padme broke the news to him that she was pregnant. Anakin began having dreams of her death. This greatly troubled him and he began looking to the Chancellor for advice. Soon Anakin figured out that the Chancellor was the evil Sith Lord who had started the war. Anakin fell under the Sith Lord’s influence and began exterminating the Jedi. His hope was that the new Emperor would show him a way to save Padme from dieing.
Obi-Wan and Anakin soon became involved in a deadly light saber battle which caused Anakin to be gravely injured almost to the point of death. The Emperor rescued him and transformed his body into a robotic machine. Anakin Skywalker was now Darth Vader. Padme died giving birth to his two children. Darth Vader began his Regine dedicated o exterminating any remaining Jedi. In his mind, the Jedi were responsible for the troubles of the galaxy and the death of his wife. This once great Jedi had turned to the dark side.
