The Ghost of Alice Flagg
Alice Flagg was a member of the prominent Flagg family in the mid-1800s. The family lived in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in a house called the Hermitage. She lived there with her brother Dr. Allard Flagg and her mother. Alice fell in love with a man who was far below her social status. Due to this, she became secretly engaged and wore her ring around her neck instead of her finger to make it invisible.
However, her brother found the ring and tossed it away into a river. He then sent her to a boarding school in Charleston so she would be away from her love. Shortly after, she became sick with typhoid fever and was sent back home. Her last request was to have her engagement ring back which was impossible since it was in the river somewhere. She died two days later. Alice was buried in a cemetery nearby in an unmarked grave.
There is a gravestone that only says Alice on it and this is believed to be hers. She has been seen in a white gown around the Hermitage, perhaps looking for her lost engagement ring. The local legend is that if you walk-backwards around the marker 13 times, you will come into contact with her lonely spirit.

this is nothing more than an old ghost story. the alice legend was debunked recently by local paranormal investigators.
the grave thats supposedly hers is not, they found her real grave and she died at 85 years old.

a couple of friends and myself actually found the real grave in september 2007. these guys were a year late!
Nobody should really be scared of alice, because she is just trying to find a ring that her true love gave her. Maybe if somebody would just try to fid the ring, and we put it to rest with her, maybe she can rest in peace.
people think im stupid
people think im stupid in the brain. but id like to tell them that im not.
