A Future With No Children

In 2006, Academy-Award nominated director Alfonso Cuaron directed a film titled Children of Men. The story was based on a book written by P.D. James. The film is about a bleak future in which women have become infertile, making pregnancy practically impossible for many years. With the world in chaos, society is almost completely devoid of laws.
The main plot is that a young woman has been discovered to be pregnant. Not wanting her to be exploited for political purposes, the main protagonist played by Clive Owen takes her under his care to get her to safety. All around him, violence has become rampant and there seems to be no hope in sight for safety.
Not only is this a great movie with a very moving story about hope in a time of despair, but it is almost realistic that the future does not look like Star Wars. Buildings are run-down and many people have become violent up-risers.
The realism I am speaking of isn’t the fact that women cannot have babies anymore. That does seem very unlikely. The realism is that society ultimately cannot stay peaceful. We as humans are very fragile creatures. It only takes a little event to unleash us to our violent potential. This movie shows how, since the future is bleak and humans will no longer rule the earth, we as humans cannot function together to solve this problem.

I saw that movie, do you think that God was unhappy with us and has caused that? Also, was the writer for this film inspired to write it?
I think that its possible…
People have no faith in humanity anymore. Why is it that every apocalypse movie depicts us as being savage monsters when a crisis happens?
