After the success of the film 28 Days Later, Director Danny Boyle produced the sequel called 28 Weeks Later. On opening day the film made back much of its budget and was critically-acclaimed for its story and use of over-the-op violence. Instead of a rehash of the first film, the sequel set out to further the story. We find Britain in total chaos as the infectious virus has been raging for more than three months. Yet, by the fourth month the infection has been almost wiped out and British refugees return to the cordoned off city of London, hoping to get back to their normal lives.

One of the survivors indirectly lets loose the infection and the virus breaks out once again. United States Special Forces are called in to wipe out all infected people. The city is bombed and destroyed with the hope that all the infected will be killed. However, this does not work out and the virus eventually infects all of Britain and makes its way into France. Now all of Europe is in true danger of this terrible disease.
