Well. the year 2012 is getting closer by the second. People have already started to panic. Is December 21, 2012 going to be the end of the world? I want you to check out this article from ABC News titled, “Will the World End in 2012?” that tells you the story of a man who is racing to prepare for this day in mythology. He quit his job in 2006 to prepare for this day. He has a list of survival goods that are eleven pages long. Many are profiting off this, whether it’s been providing workshops on survival or publishing books. Should you be fearful of this day?
On a lighter note, after doing some research, I like the response from one person on Yahoo Answers. The question was: How are you preparing for 2011 (2012)? One guy responded, “I’m not prepared for next week, never mind 2011..” Listen everyone, there are always going to be people out there who are going to try to profit off of every little event that you encounter. There are always going to be skeptics and firm believers on every issue. If you believe firmly that there is something tragic that will happen on December 21, 2012, then go right ahead, prepare. However, don’t waste the time you have now.
If you are a movie buff or have seen a lot of movies before, I’m sure you have come across one about vampires. A standard definition of a vampire is “a mythological or folkloric being who subsist by feeding on the life essence (generally in the form of blood) of living creatures. Although typically described as undead, a vampire could be a living person.” Dracula is probably the most popular depiction of a vampire out there today. Now, our whole lives, we have thought that “vampires” are merely mythical and fictional people, but as you will see from reading this article, vampires do exist.
Does the word “Porphyria” mean anything to you? It is a medical term for a disorder which is said to give the roots for vampire and werewolf folklore and mythology. To read more about Porphyria, or “The Vampire Disease”, check out Wikipedia.org’s article “Porphyria“. Traces of Porphyria have been found almost in all nations and continents around the Globe. In fact, there is even “The American Porphyria Foundation” which tries to improve the health and help the victims and their families of any problems that they may face due to their disorder. The best way to explain this type of disorder is by showing you an interesting video clip from those people who suffer it and how this disorder can harm the society we live in:
The people suffering from this disorder should not be treated like outcasts. Like always, there are those who are good and those who are bad. Those who are good should not be outcasts and shunned from society due to their disorder. They are living beings, just like us.
On June 25, 2009, Pop legend Michael Jackson passed away from cardiac arrest in his rented mansion. The news shocked millions of fans around the world. He died at age 50, having spent 45 years in the spotlight, making up to be 92% of his life. Throughout his life, he has been through many hardships, including legal issues, media criticism, and family matters. Despite all of this, his music still shines and is hold closely by fans throughout the world. With the power of music, he brought upon change to benefit the greater good. Thriller, his sixth studio album, is the greatest selling album of all time, one that is very unlikely to be beaten.
It seems as if Michael Jackson has left his mark and has left and will never come back. Since this is Paranormalknowledge.com, the question I have to ask you us: Will he return to make some ghostly visits to close friends and family? Does he have any unfinished business? Some simply say no, and claim that he has walked out on top. However, he was planning on making the biggest comeback of his entire career and passed away just weeks before the first of fifty concerts. Is this unfinished business?
It will be interesting to see if any close friends and family will experience any ghostly encounters from the “King of Pop”. If they do and choose to release this information to the public, you can guarantee that Paranormalknowledge.com will be writing an article on it. Until then, R.I.P. Michael Jackson.
Before the television sitcom completely took control of the word “big bang theory”, the big bang model explains the development of our universe. This model is “supported by the most comprehensive and accurate explanations from current scientific evidence and observation”, according to Wikipedia.org. I have attached a video along to this post that gives you an idea of what this model suggests and how the universe we are living in was formed. Check it out:
I know that a lot of you have contacted me and asked me about cold reading. For those of you who don’t know what cold reading is, I will provide for you a simple definition I found:
“Cold reading is a series of techniques used by mentalists, fortune tellers, psychics, and mediums to determine details about another person in order to convince them that the reader knows much more about a subject than they actually do.” – Wikipedia.org’s article “Cold reading“
What these phonies do is tell you very general answers that applies to almost anyone, trying to gain your trust and confidence. A lot of famous psychics and mediums have been accused of using this technique. Why do they do this? Money. You slap them a $10 or $20 bill and they will tell you what you want to hear, nothing too specific. How can you spot out a cold reader? Let me give you an example:
Cold Reader: “I see a guy, he meant a lot to you, and he passed away recently. He suffered very much, it was a painful death.”
Actual Psychic: “I’m getting a John, he was something of an artist. He died in his sleep.”
Do you see the difference between a cold reader and an actual psychic now? Actual psychics are more specific and can gather more information than cold readers. In fact, the Comedy Central television show South Park is known to have a whole episode on mediums and cold reading. Below is a video clip from that episode:
The video is of poor quality, but you can make it through. Many people unload lots of money to psychics and mediums asking to predict their future or contact their deceased relatives. However, I would like to share one piece of advice to you:
Your deceased friends and family who love you are watching over you as you are reading this article. Recent research has shown that they give us signs every day to let us know that they are there. To view some of these signs, check out our article, “Signs From Spirits“. Don’t spend your hard-earned money on something that you don’t necessarily need. There is plenty of information on this website as well as many others that can help you find your spiritual growth and identity. Some psychics and mediums are real, and some aren’t. Do your research before you consider to talk to one of these individuals, including their reputation, reliability, and history, because who knows, you may be talking to a phony.
