La Carafe is located in Houston, Texas and sits on the original foundation of the oldest commercial building in Houston. The building was built in 1866 for a baker named John Kennedy, who had come to Houston in 1842. The building originally served as a steam bakery and was called Kennedy Bakery. The Kennedy family continued to own the building until 1987, when the current owners bought the property. It has been named La Carafe since the 1950s. The building is haunted and the most famous ghost is a former bartender named Carl. Many staff members and visitors to La Carafe have either felt the presence of Carl or saw him looking out of the window on the second floor. There are other reports of cold spots, objects moving, and the sound of footsteps from upstairs.

Miss Molly’s Bed and Breakfast is located in Fort Worth, Texas. It is situated in the middle of the Fort Worth Stockyards and is the oldest bed and breakfast in the entire city. It was established in 1910 originally as a boarding house and was called the Palace Room. It would then go on to serve as a bordello in the 1940s under the name of the Gayatte Hotel. Miss Molly’s has been called home by a diverse and large number of people. There are seven themed rooms in the hotel and they all have specific ghost stories attached to each. The Cattlemen’s and Cowboy rooms have the most famous sightings of ghosts.The current owners private rooms are numbers eight and nine and are also continually visited by a ghost.

The ghost is the spirit of a young girl who was once a tenant of the hotel. Most of the ghost sightings here however are those of former workers of the bordello when the establishment served as one. Paranormal experiences at the hotel include full body apparitions, strange scents, items that vanish and reappear at random times, cold spots, lights turning on and off, and unlocked doors that sometimes won’t open. One of the former housekeepers at the hotel actually quit her job because one of the rooms she cleaned would always have old fashioned coins lying around and they would always re-appear the next day after she put them away. Miss Molly’s is considered to be one of the most haunted pieces of land in all of Fort Worth, Texas.

Somebody, either a farmer, rancher, or a group of students, captures a wild bobcat. The captor(s) manage to put the animal in a suitcase and decides to deliver it off to the zoo. The car stalls, or stopped for other reasons, and the suitcase is then stolen by a group of rowdies passing by in a van. After a few blocks up the street, the van stops, the doors fly open, and the occupants of the van and the wildcat exit in several different directions. This urban legend is widely known in the American South and the Southwest. It is sometimes told as having a deliberate prank. The targets of the prank are often said to be members of a minority group, usually African Americans or Hispanics.
